    Description

    An Excelsior model from the early days of Wurlitzer -- in the 1890's.  Heavy silver plate (triple plate per the catalog claim) with some minor wear through of the plating at hand contact points, minor dents, evidence of dedent,  and scratches you might expect from a 130 year old horn that has been used.  Has elaborate decorated joints and nice engraving. Also has a later stamp or engraving indicating this horn was traded for a new Buescher horn (See pic), The stocking look pretty good, however, the slide will need the attention of a slide doctor to play properly.  The tuning crook works fine, as does the spit valve.   Includes a vintage case which seems to fit reasonably well but likely isn't original  -- the handslide doesn't seem to fit the case properly. The latches and hinges work fine on the case.
